INFLUENCES AND INFLUENCERS
My influences include the art of the Dutch Masters and more so The French Impressionists, and the more contemporary Abstract Expressionists. But also works in oil and watercolor from popular American Outdoor, Landscape and Wildlife Artists have definitely influenced my painting.
Many of my favorites have, at some time in their careers, painted with a technique that allowed their brush strokes to show, rather than a smooth, near photographic finished product.
First and Foremost, I believe that all Art should be pleasing to the eyes, or ears. And, of course, that determination is subjective, as the saying goes, “Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder.”
It is my hope that you will find my work pleasing to your eyes, and that you will be proud to hang my prints or paintings on your walls!
